Claire is the Lennart Richard one available anywhere (I think it's called delivery self atachment?) The one where the baby crawls up to the breat and self attaches? I love that one it always makes me cry!

Hi, Rachel thinks that Caroline Booth might have a copy. Caroline is the Infant Feeding Adviser at Dewsbury Hospital. You should be able to contact her via the switchboard. Or you can try googling it to see what comes up (you have probably already done that though)!
Sorry can't be more helpful!

I found it on the Unicef website, not sure if they do it on DVD , I'm sure they do somewhere though.
This is an entry in our Resource File of materials, activities and ideas which have been developed by individuals and organisations other than the Baby Friendly Initiative. Delivery self attachment by Dr Lennart Righard is a video to support his research of 1994. It demonstrates that an infants behaviour and ability to breastfeed at birth can be affected by unnecessary separation of the infant from it's mother to the resusitairre, the effect of pethidine on the infants behaviour and the effect of both separation and pethidine. This video has the power to challenge what may be routine procedures and improve practice.
The video lasts 6 minutes. Price: £20 plus £1 p&p.
All enquiries to Sue Saunders, Lactation Consultant Services, tel 07885 493873.
